Synopsis

The film tells the story of young Belek, who drives a taxi to make a living but dreams of becoming a successful writer. During a period when financial difficulties reach a dead end, Belek receives an unusual offer. The job is to write the life story of a man he has never met. Needing the money, the young man reluctantly accepts the offer, and while driving through chaotic streets, he also starts putting the mysterious man’s past into words. But as Belek hears more and more of the stories, he begins to find more parallels with his own life... In the film, which takes the bustling streets, taxi lines, and the rush of everyday life in present-day Kyrgyzstan as its backdrop, the noisy, crowded, and monotonous nature of the city is visualized alongside the protagonist’s loneliness and sense of being trapped, with shot compositions created through color saturation, light reflections, and dim atmospheres reminiscent of the aesthetics of Asian independent cinema.
